Interview with Varsity Golf Player Francesca Choquette

The Avenues Golf Team is making headlines once again with an undefeated season so far — not just this year, but for the second consecutive year, and they’re aiming to make it three in a row.

“It feels great not only to be undefeated this year but the last two years as well,” said Francesca, a dedicated member of the team. “We’re going to keep pushing and trying our hardest the rest of the season to attain a three-year undefeated streak!”

What’s their secret? According to Francesca, it comes down to accountability and motivation. “We push each other to give our best at every match — even when the conditions outside aren’t ideal.”

One of the standout moments this season was a clean sweep, where the team won all nine points at a recent match, locking in the win early. Still, the team remains focused on growth: “We always celebrate our wins, but we also make sure to show up to as many practices as possible to keep fine-tuning our swings for the matches ahead.”

The Golf Team is clearly locked in — and we’re excited to see how the rest of this incredible season unfolds.
